The Almshouse Surgery and Sandal Castle Medical Centre

The practice has two sites, The Almshouse Surgery in the centre of Wakefield and Sandal Castle Medical Centre in Asdale Road. Patients can access either of them at any time. We might ask you sometimes to attend a different site to your usual one especially when you ask for a same-day appointment.

We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

Residents urged to have their say about dental services

Residents across Wakefield are being urged to have their say and help shape dental services for people without a regular dentist or who need urgent care out of hours.

The NHS locally is asking people to help them in the task of planning a new service for the whole of West Yorkshire by sharing their experiences of unplanned or urgent dental services in their area.
